Foto Penyu Kasih Jari Tengah Raih Penghargaan Fotografi

#Artlagi – Karya ini merupakan hasil dari fotografer asal Australia, Mark Fitzpatrick yang memberi nama fotonya “Terry the Turtle“.

Foto ini sempat ramai di media sosial dan kini berhasil mendapat penghargaan Comdey Wildlife Photography Awards 2020.

Karya ini diambil Fitzpatrick saat Mark sedang berenang di pantai Pulai Lady Elliot di Queensland, Australia.

Kebetulan ia bertemu penyu laut yang datang menghampirinya. Kemudian karena melihat banyaknya respon tentang fotonya, ia pun memutuskan untuk mengirimkan foto “Terry the Turtle” itu ke Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards 2020.

Ajang Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards merupakan pemberian penghargaan terhadap karya dengan tema alam liar yang lucu dan tidak sengaja tertangkap kamera.

Sebanyak 7.000 karya yang didaftarkan dalam ajang penghargaan ini, karya “Terry the Turtle” jadi salah satu dari 42 kontestan yang terpilih.

“Saya berharap Terry the Turtle dapat mendorong lebih banyak orang untuk meluangkan waktu sejenak dan memikirkan tentang betapa satwa liar kita yang luar biasa bergantung pada kita dan apa yang dapat kita lakukan untuk membantu mereka,” kata Fitzpatrick dikutip dari Insider.
